“During the Ceremonial of the Supreme Queen’s visit, held in the Biloxi Beach Motel, a janitor started backing out of a supply closet. Since no non-Nile members are allowed, he was pushed back into the closet. A chair was placed in front of the door, with a Princess sitting on the chair. At the end of the Ceremonial, a horrific noise was taking place in the closet: the janitor had gone to sleep and was snoring loudly!”

“When Supreme Queen Sharalyn was installed as Supreme Queen, she entered the Supreme Temple riding a live camel. As she was being escorted around the room, the saddle began to slip. She held on while being rescued by several Nobles who repositioned the saddle. Sharalyn was able to dismount and walk to the Altar.”

“Frances (Hobbs) Williams, PQ, who was a founding member of Miriam Temple, said that the Seattle Ladies made several trips to Victoria because of the interest in forming a Daughters of the Nile Temple there. On one occasion, Frances was driving Founder Mabel Krows and three other ladies down Government Street in Victoria when her car lost a wheel. This certainly caused some excitement and the ladies were a bit shook up, but fortunately no one was injured.”
